B.P.R.D. Garden of Souls #3 of 5
Abe Sapien, Captain Benjamin Daimio, Liz Sherman, Dr. Kate Corrigan, Johann Kraus
Overview

Parents are reporting their little retarded girl missing at the police station in Balikpapan while Daimio presents the information about Abe’s disappearance and the address he found.  Once Daimio identified himself as a Captain with the B.P.R.D. the police assisted him to find the address.

Meanwhile Abe is sailing in an old wooden boat.  Johann shows Kate and Liz the picture of Daimio’s grandmother and the evidence that she is the Crimson Lotus.

Daimio and the police discover a giant machine at the address but no one knows what it is.  The police find the little girl drawing a detailed map of south Asia with four locations circled.  The cats are with her.

Abe lands on a tropical island and sees one of the robot men trimming a flower garden and singing.  Abe pulls a gun on him but is in turn welcomed to the island garden by the robot.

Abe remains silent as these robots seem to know him but he does not know them.

The first robot brings Abe to meet the other two.  Ensner introduces himself and the other two as Dameron and McWhirter.

Abe thinks they sent the little girl to get him but one of the other robots told Abe they had not sent for him.  It was Naunet.  Then Edward knocked Abe out.

Johann finds it suspicious that Daimio never told anyone about his grandmother’s involvement with the Natzi camps.  The old Asian man continues to taunt Liz with the question, “Whom do you trust?”

Abe wakes up and discoverer a room preserved by Ensner and the others from their early days in 1869 and their experiments.  He finds photographs where they had successfully changed Caul into the “fishman” Abe.  Abe is enraged.  He hears a voice call him and discovers the mummy still alive and in bed.  It was the female mummy they had unrolled in 1859 at Lord Minnbrough’s Baywater House.
